How do you grow your business?
Do you spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars advertising through paper or electronic media?
OR
Do you look after your clients so well they become your advocate, freely promoting your business to family and friends?
Well, I try to focus on the latter. These advocates appreciate what I have done for them, they understand my business and freely promote me to people they know who can use my services. In affect, I am being rewarded for doing a good job by these advocates helping me to grow my business through their on-going support by way of new referrals.
These are the type of clients that make our businesses so rewarding and it shouldn't be a one way street. With me it is no different.
If my clients are prepared to support my business with on-going referrals, I will try to support them in the same way. And this is how I do it.
Business Folders
Every time myself, or any of my Lending Specialists staff, take an application for home, business or commercial finance we provide the client with a professional business folder. Included in the folder are a number of insert pages which can be used to store important documents relating to such things as insurances, legals and loans.

Also included are business card holders full of business cards of those professionals who have agreed to support my business. Professionals in businesses ranging from Insurances, Legal and Accountacy through to personal services for food, clerical and many service industries.
We regularly meet 10 - 20 clients each week, taking 5-10 applications, so this means our referrer's businesses are being put in front of around 1,000 new prospects each year. And if these prospects talk amongst their friends then this has the potential to flow on and on.

So I have established a "Blog". A what?????
I suppose a Blog can best be described as something like Facebook. It's a site that I continually work on and update and it lets you know a little bit more about me and my business.
There are pages on the businesses I am involved in, informative newsletters, articles that both are interesting and informative, links to important sites AND details of businesses that have offerred to be my advocates.
